The OSP is a self-governing body, with a board of directors elected from the membership.

Categories of Membership

OSP has eight categories of membership. Select the category that interests you to find out about the membership requirements.

Clinical Membership
Clinical members can use the designation "Clinical member, OSP" after their names and can be included in the provincial referral service.

Qualifying Membership
While working toward the requirements for Clinical membership, you can apply for Qualifying membership.

Student Membership
OSP encourages student membership. If you are enrolled in an appropriate graduate program, you can apply for student membership.

Supporting Member
If you are in a helping profession and want to be affiliated with OSP you can become a supporting member.

Friend Of The Society
As a Friend of the Society you will be kept informed about the Society's activities and views, and receive the OSP newsletter.

Honorary Member
Honorary membership is an occasional honour given to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the profession or the Society.

Retired Member
This category is for current members who are no longer practicing psychotherapy, yet wish to remain affiliated professionally with the society.

Leave of Absence
This category is for members who, due to circumstances, are not seeing clients in Ontario.
